Justin Singleton

Coach Justin Singleton is in his third year leading the Haddonfield Memorial High School baseball program. A native of Sparks, Maryland, he graduated high school from St. Paul’s School for Boys in Brooklandville, Maryland, in 1997 where he attended since Kindergarten.
He was drafted in the ninth round of the 1997 amateur baseball draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks; however, he accepted a scholarship to play baseball at Clemson University instead. At Clemson, Singleton was a 3-year Letterman, 1998 Honorable Mention Freshman All-American, Team Captain, 2000 College World Series participant; 3-year Honor Roll member, 3-year Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll member, highest cumulative GPA in the university's baseball program, and on the Dean’s List. Singleton was coached by Jack Leggett (American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame 2014), Current Vanderbilt Head Coach, Tim Corbin (ABCA HOF 2020), Current University of Florida Head Coach, Kevin O'Sullivan, Former College of Charleston, Auburn and Western Kentucky Head Coach, John Pawlowski, Current St. John’s Head Coach, Mike Hampton.
Singleton played summer baseball in the Shenandoah Valley League in Virginia and the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League in Massachusetts. Following his junior year, he signed and played with the Toronto Blue Jays for six seasons in their minor league system before finishing his professional career with the AAA Syracuse Sky Chiefs, where he was awarded the Toronto Blue Jays Harold Berman Community Involvement Service Award.
Coach Singleton is one of four children, the second son of Ken Singleton, a Baltimore Orioles Hall Of Fame outfielder/designated hitter, and an Emmy award-winning television broadcaster for The YES Network. As their lead analyst for New York Yankees baseball games, Ken enjoyed 25 years calling games before retiring in 2021.
Justin stays active watching his three children play various sports, beach days in Ocean City, New Jersey, and summer lake vactions with Haddonfield friends.
He and his wife, Tricia (nee Williams), a native of Medford, New Jersey, have resided in Haddonfield for 14 years. Tricia is also a HMHS coach for girls' Varsity soccer. The Singletons have three children: Jaxson, Kenley and Kallie; and Roxy their Doberman.
